OUR ONE DAY CLASS IS DESIGNED TO TEACH YOU THE ART AND FUNDAMENTALS OF COFFEE ROASTING.

You will gain all the knowledge and comfort level to roast on your own. You will be learning 3 different methods of roasting on three top of the line machines to round off your education. We utilize a San Franciscan 6 lb roaster which is set up to do full roast profiling with “Cropster” the smartest roast profiling software on the market and a Coffee Tech Solar Electric roaster. We will end the course by using a Primo 45lb manual roaster.

The 8 hour program consists of the following:

Green Coffee

Green coffee basics and green coffee grading.

Cupping

Where does cupping come in? We will lead you through the cupping process of your roasted coffee to provide roast analysis and essential feedback.

Set-up

Roaster set-up, venting, maintenance and safety considerations.

Quality Control

You will learn roast planning, profile techniques and ways to improve your roast quality.
